SPEDI Software's latest product, SPEDI Connect, was launched on 20th October. The product has received considerable interest from suppliers, both large and small, and various grocery buying groups.
SPEDI Connect is designed to be a simple, user-friendly and cost-effective ordering system that enables retail outlets to place orders on their regular suppliers, without the need to pick up the telephone or navigate potentially complex websites. It will make it especially easy for convenience stores to trade with local and speciality suppliers. Over 20 years' experience of the retail grocery sector has shown us that when outlets are able to place orders quickly and easily, their suppliers typically enjoy a 10% boost in sales as a result.
The launch, which was a huge success, took place at Toshiba Tec, Hemel Hempstead. In attendance were a number of prospective customers as well as our regular dealers. The keynote address was given by Kishor Patel, Managing Director of Houghton Trading Ltd, who spoke about his experience of the retail grocery sector as well as how SPEDI Connect would benefit his business. David Mendus, Director of SPEDI Software, gave a brief presentation about the company and SPEDI Connect. This was followed by Neil Dorrian of Toshiba Tec, who talked about Toshiba's success and reputation as manufacturers of reliable hardware.
There was ample time for guests to watch demonstrations of the software at work, as well as to enjoy a buffet lunch, kindly provided by Toshiba Tec. Overall, it was a great send-off for our new product.
