We’ve Done It Again!

We have just successfully passed our Annual Audit for our ISO 9000:2008 certification with flying colours. As in other years we did not have to correct even a minor non-conformity.

                                       ISO CERTIFICATE

When a company holds any international externally audited standard, it shows that it works to logical and documented systems. Good quality systems improve efficiency and helps to minimize errors. In any organization and in particular small businesses, it controls quality and brings clear benefits.

ISO 9000 is probably the most important quality management standard in use today.  It is divided into 3 different variations. ISO9001 covers the complete business from design through development and testing to service and support. ISO9002 covers Development and Service.  ISO9003 covers Service or Support only.

We have ISO9001 and to gain it we have to document all our procedures in the areas covered by the standard.  These include –

            Product design, development and testing.

            Customer support

            Correction of non-conformities

            Training and Resources.

Once the certificate has been gained we have to pass an annual audit to prove that are procedures are up to date and that we follow them correctly. (Document what you do, do it, show that you do it.)

ISO 9001 allows us to monitor and improve all aspects of our business performance.  It allows us to identify training needs and use of resources thereby increasing staff involvement and motivation. It allows us to concentrate on providing the best possible delivery of our service and products.
