SPEDI PoS 7.3 released

We are proud to announce the release of the latest version of SPEDI PoS, available now from your local reseller.

Version 7.3 of SPEDI PoS, the till program used with SPEDI Maintain and SPEDI Till office programs, has been released. This new version includes a number of features which have been requested by our users including:

- a diary function which gives reminders to complete store activities such as product date checking, temperature checking and placing orders. A record is then kept of these activities as an aid to show due diligence

- an advertising screen may be run on a separate monitor. As well as adverts, the screen may optionally replace the customer display and show the lines of the current transaction

- tills such as those on a 'food to go counters' can ring through items which can then be recalled and paid for at the main checkouts

- the barcodes on most coupons can be scanned to read the coupon value as part of the payment process

- operators and supervisors may log on securely by reading a special log on card which can be printed by the system

- waste items can be recorded at the till by scanning the product and selecting the reason the product is waste

- the Scottish restrictions on alcohol sales at certain hours can be enforced by the system
